Anthony Wilkinson is pleased to announce a series of weekly solo presentations in the smaller gallery space. The second being Georgina Stone who graduated from Royal College of Art in 2024.

Georgina Stone’s paintings are characterized by an evolving, improvisational approach that emphasizes process and materiality. Her surfaces are subtly dynamic, reflecting a balance between deliberate technique and playful spontaneity. Drawing inspiration from mid-20th-century abstraction and contemporary culture, her paintings often begin with an image such as a nostalgic Disney film still, stickers or graffiti iconography that are disrupted and often fade as the painting evolves. Colour is a key element in her work – often bright even fluorescent, oil, watercolour, and glitter are put into the mix. Stone also plays with the pictorial space sometimes highlighting an edge or corner with a section of frame in her exploration for an aesthetic balance. Her vibrant, layered works reflect a nuanced dialogue between spontaneity and intentionality.
